Dreams Across Time

During my coursework in the technical writing program, I did several types of editing, both handwritten proofreading and computer-based, with the final edits being used with a graphics or word program. Below, you will find more detailed descriptions of the examples and a link to each to assess. The original copies are maintained as well as the completed edits.

CFIDS Brochure
Below you will find several pdf documents with the original brochure with edits and suggestions toward the redesign, as well as the finished project. This project was chosen because of the poor formatting style that was originally used in the brochure, as well as poor word use and lack of knowledge with fonts. The language was too cluttered and so I revised much of the information inside, as well as edited the overall format of the document. I used pen for the original markup and then used Microsoft Word to make the formatting and final edit changes.

4-H Afterschool Program Manual
This was a request from the 4-H coordinator in Logan, Utah, to redesign their original manual for the afterschool program that 4-H ran. It was a joint effort between me and one other person; both took different sections of the manual, discussed design and information should be highlighted in the final draft of the manual. The edits were made in Microsoft Office. The copy that I have here of the final document is a draft, but you will find examples of the original document and sample pages of the corrected document.
